Nao Deixe o Fogo se Apagar english translation “Don’t Let The Fire Die,” is a 2006 Documentary about Brazilian street life, poverty and struggle as a child. It was filmed in Belo Horizonte, brazil co-directed directed by Damon and Taryn J. Smith. The story is a real life examination of the life of Sidney Pereira de Souza e Silva and other amazing young children.  Inspired by non-fiction Christian Leadership book “Don’t Stop The Swagger. 

It depicts the life, struggle and perserverance of brazils children that live on the streets. 

The documentary begins with the focus being on Sidney a talented young man, with amazing futbol (soccer) skills and a rare intelligence beyond his years. He spends life on the streets from 6 to 11 years old and is caught between being a street life gang member or choosing a life dedicated to Jesus. His struggles include the stories of other amazing children and the shocking tragedies of street life.
